The chemical industry maintains a relatively high growth rate, and the fine chemical industry still has a large room for development

Time: 2020-06-04

At present, my country has become the world's largest chemical product manufacturing country, and it is expected to maintain a relatively high growth rate in the future, and its influence will be further expanded. From the point of view of the development trend of the chemical industry, there is still much room for development in my country's fine chemical industry. Fine chemical industry is a strategic focus of the current chemical industry development in various countries in the world, and it is also an important development direction for my country's chemical industry. The prospects are still promising.

Development status of fine chemical enterprises

At present, most of the fine chemical enterprises in China are backward in equipment, the technology research and development cycle is too long, the research and development efforts are insufficient, the capital investment is insufficient, and a perfect innovation system has not yet been formed. There are very few practical fine chemicals, and the innovation is not high. No core competitiveness has been formed.

At the same time, the concentration of fine chemicals is very low, and most enterprises are scattered and difficult to produce high-level fine chemicals. The fine chemical industry should have been highly integrated with the development of information technology, but currently the domestic fine chemical industry is still in an awkward position to ensure survival, and there is no time to consider informatization, which seriously restricts the healthy development of the fine chemical industry.

Moreover, most enterprises are "profit-oriented" and do not consider environmental pollution at all, causing a lot of waste of resources. The huge cost of handling "three wastes" has become a heavy economic burden on the fine chemical industry. It can be said that environmental pollution has not only become a huge challenge for human sustainable development, but also a big obstacle restricting the development of elaborate chemical industry.

Analysis of supply of fine chemical products

The “12th Five-Year Plan” issued by the state stated that by 2015, the domestic fine chemical self-sufficiency rate needs to reach more than 80%, and as far as the current fine chemical industry self-sufficiency rate is concerned, a large amount of capital and technical investment are still required. Due to technological and other reasons, domestic progress in the new field of fine chemicals and new chemical materials has lagged slightly. The self-sufficiency rate of fine chemical industry in the domestic new areas is 70%-75%, and the self-sufficiency rate in the fields of electronic chemicals and other fields is less than 50%. In the field of new chemical materials, the self-sufficiency rate in the country is only hovering between 55%-60% between. In these high-tech fields, the more high-end and important products, the lower the domestic self-sufficiency rate.

Not only that, the structure of my country's fine chemical products is not very reasonable. At present, domestic new chemical materials are mainly low-grade products, while medium products mainly rely on imports. For example, the price of imported polytetrafluoroethylene is about twice the price of exported polytetrafluoroethylene.

The new chemical materials produced in China are mainly general-purpose products, and there is a lack of special-purpose products for market segments. For example, in the four major categories of silicone materials (silicone rubber, silicone oil, silicone resin, silane coupling agent), developed countries have There are 6-8 thousand specific varieties and brands, while there are only dozens of them in China.

In addition, the market for some environmentally friendly products is still in the early stages of development. Because my country has not yet imposed an environmental tax on non-biodegradable ordinary plastics. Compared with traditional plastics, degradable plastics have a higher cost of use, and the market for degradable plastics is still in the early stages of development. As a developing country, the ODS alternatives currently used in China are still mainly HCFCs that have less damage to the ozone layer. In the future, it is necessary to gradually replace it with HFC which has no destructive effect on the ozone layer.

Fine chemical industry outlook forecast

It is precisely because of the above-mentioned shortcomings that my country's fine chemical industry will have more development prospects in the future. As more and more multinational companies invest in and build factories in China, the continuous expansion of the scale and the introduction of advanced preparation technology will inevitably bring about a continuous increase in the supply of my country's fine chemical market.

According to statistics, in 2015, the total industrial output value of my country's fine chemical industry was about 37021 billion yuan, an increase of about 10% compared with 2014. According to the current development momentum, it is expected that by 2021, the total industrial output value of the industry will reach about 5.9 trillion yuan, and the room for growth is still relatively large.
